Iowa Blues Hall Of Fame

The Iowa Blues Hall Of Fame mission is to recognize and honor our Iowa Blues heritage. New members are inducted into the Hall of Fame each year. A celebratory awards ceremony is held annually at Blues On Grand in Des Moines, which houses the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame. Each member also receives a dedicated page on the hall of fame web site commemorating his or her achievements, complete with available photos, sound files and biography. Carol Thomas Endowment Fund

Carol Thomas was a long-time blues singer and keyboard player, a founding member of the Central Iowa Blues Society, and served as the Newsletter Editor for CIBS from 1992 until her death in 1997 from cancer. Carol was loved and is missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. In her honor, the Central Iowa Blues Society has established the Carol Thomas Memorial Endowment Fund. Monies collected will be used for youth educational programs.
